Whitehorse City Council hired me to write new web copy for one of their public facilities, the Morack Public Golf Course and Driving Range.
The golf course’s website hadn’t been updated in 13 years and needed a complete overhaul of the jargon riddled copy and almost complete absence of photos describing the golf course.
The target audience of the content refresh was young families and beginner golfers, while also keeping the user experience straight forward enough for regular golf course club members to find what they needed.
My goal for the project was to write the copy in a way that encouraged people to use the call-to-actions (including a new online booking system) and demystified golfing jargon.
Working in collaboration with the golf course team, website developers, and a photographer and videographer, we created a clean, easy to use website for Morack that was simple enough for any newbie to understand.
